Mikan

My clothing brand built from the ground up during university, covering brand identity, garment construction, photography, and creative direction.

Mikan started as a way to make the clothes I wanted to wear and couldn't find.I ran the full production process, from pattern cutting and cut-and-sew construction to hand-dyeing fabric and screen printing each piece. On the creative side, I shot and directed every campaign myself, from concept through final retouching, and built out seasonal lookbooks and collab drops to give my brand a release rhythm.

Running production and creative direction at the same time meant design decisions had to survive contact with a sewing machine. A dye technique or print placement that worked on paper sometimes failed at the garment stage, so the visual identity evolved alongside what was actually possible to produce.
